Saitek cyborg v5 illuminated usb gaming keyboard
Since the rest can be removed - if the design is bothersome - it is, therefore, avoidable. It would get stuck and unless the bar was pressed again, would continue to auto-space. A few 32nd note rolls on the bar seemed to resolve this issue, for now. If this problem persists, or happens to other keys, I would dock a couple eggs and RMA Overall Review: I really like this board. Switched-up from my old G, and wanted to stay below 80 on the price.
If I had patience, lolz, I would have waited for the Cyborg7 to restock. I'm kinda glad it was out. Only time will tell, but all I can say for now is that it rocks! Pros: Not too big. Stylish, sleek design. Caps lock, num lock, and scroll lock lights are front and center, bright and hard to miss. The keystrokes are soft and quiet, not too sensitive or too hard to press. Feels sturdy, excellent wrist rest design.
Nice software from the saitek site, allows for programming keys. Standard key layout, took no getting use to. No ghosting. Wired, to hell with wireless! Cons: LED's just scrape by on being acceptable. Much more light coming from around the keys, than through them.
Lighting is also not even. Though the board feels sturdy, if you take your finger and press on the lip, just below to space bar, while the feet are up, with the wrist guard off, the board does bend, freely; not and issue while in use. With the feet up and no wrist guard, the board is angled forward a bit too much. Overall Review: I really like the look and feel of this keyboard. It types smooth, and quietly. This really seems to be the best low end, red led keyboard, for the price.
Pros: Nice backlight function that is adjustable and easy on the eyes. The keyboard's keys are a little on the loose side, however for long typing sessions this can be a plus. It works well, but not perfect as a gaming keyboard. You can change the brightness of the backlight function or turn it off completely. Red LED's have replaced the blue that my older keyboard, that is the same, they just changed the name.
I prefered the blue, but the red works just as well. Cons: I have read many people complaining about this keyboard due to a sweak it develops after about two weeks of usage when hitting the spacebar. But they need to be realistic. That has all sorts of problems with it, yet people, mostly gamers swear by it.
This keyboard is not perfect, but it has a small footprint, nice backlighting, a volume control, and a nice keystroke to it.
It takes a little getting used to but I'm not gaming all the time and I need a keyboard that is easy on the hands and wrists. The only con to this keyboard is that you might have to pop the spacebar out with something plastic and add a little vasoline to the support bars for the spacebar. I fixed mine in about 1 minute. Man that was hard!
Overall Review: There are so many people that are rating themselves with a tech knowledge of 4 and 5, when there is no way they are even close to that.
This is called a real ego problem! Or they just have no way to really know what they should be rating themselves. Be realistic, I have been working in the I. That's many years of experience and knowledge built upon over time. I'm a Level 3 Tech in the real world. But a 5 in New eggs knowledge base. I have built N. I'm the guy they send in when they can't figure out why a machine is not networking correctly or they are just stummped as to why a certain machine is acting strange.
Not one 2 or 3 in tech knowledge in any of the reviews; some of you lie!!!!!!! Pros: Got this keyboard in It still works flawlessly, keys have great feel and and LED's are still bright. Cons: Paint is wearing off on a few keys, but that's expected after almost 5 years.
Overall Review: None, great and reliable keyboard for the price. Though, go for the eclipse 2 if you have some extra cash. LEDs are brighter and it just has a more premium feel. Pros: - good feel - buttons are quiet - no missed keystrokes - backlightnig is just the right brightness to look cool in the light, and to not blind you in the dark. Cons: unfortunatly i had to replace due to user error. Overall Review: cant ask for keyboard to be wrapped in plastic.
Pros: Wow This thing blows all other keyboards out of the water. You can change color on the keys, change the settings with the touch pad on the top of the keyboard, 12 programmable keys macros included , feel of keys are very good. Software also has key-command software for other inputs. All keys are illuminated, no fading on outer keys.
Usb and 3. Cons: This keyboard is so nerdy that i feel bad using it. Lights blend in with other keys, but not more than you would expect. Overall Review: This is awesome, but if you are looking for a more professional keyboard, like for work or something this probably is too much for you. This thing if for gamers, not accounting. Pros: First of all, the keyboard looks very nice. I like how the different areas of the keyboard can be changed individually has about 5 colors to choose from.
In addition, the keyboard itself has a very nice feeling to it, though those used to laptop keyboards may not like it personally, I'm a fan of stiffer keys. The 2 modes are very handy, especially when you need to lock the Windows keys.
Although I have no use for the macro keys, I'm sure they work very nicely as well. Cons: Alright, let's be honest. If price isn't an object, you'll have no problems making this selection. On the keyboard, I don't like that you can't turn off the glowing head that switches the keyboard modes , and that you can't keep your zones lighted differently even in standard mode.
However, that's not the worst thing to ever happen. Some colors ie yellow on certain zones don't show up too well, but that's alright. You can't select blue! Overall Review: A beautiful keyboard, perfect for a gaming rig. However, if you are considering buying this keyboard be aware that the money can be put to better use elsewhere perhaps a GPU upgrade?
This is a solid keyboard, and I would recommend it, despite of its costs, but I can't honestly give it a 5 due to the cost. Pros: Backlighting colors can be customized to any of several different colors. The gaming mode, which offers more functionality, can be turned on for me or off for my wife.. Built of solid materials. Feels sturdier than my old Saitek Eclipse. In gaming mode, different sections of the keyboard can be backlit with different colors offering amazing assistance during gaming and the coolest keyboard light show you've ever seen.
Overall Review: Although this keyboard is plug and play, "Gaming Mode" can't be accessed until you install the drivers. The included drivers worked flawlessly on my Windows Vista Ultimate machine, but I did note in the packaging that XP Drivers would have to be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
My old Saitek Eclipse keyboard died when I gave it an ice cold coca cola classic. I had planned on purchasing another Eclipse, but one glance at the Cyborg changed my mind. I'm extremely satisfied with this keyboard, but think it would be overkill for the average computer user. However, if you game, have a lighted computer case, or have extra moeny to blow on a fantastic looking and functioning keyboard - you HAVE to buy the Cyborg!
Pros: I'm very impressed with this KB. Lighting is the best I have ever seen on a board. When I bought the board without seeing it I was worried the touch panel would be a little overkill but it works nice and Cyborg mode is awesome. Macro keys and metal coated keys. This KB has it all. Cons: Macro keys are a bit of a reach from the wsad keys.
Software could be a bit more polished. Overall Review: Very little to complain about. I would recommend this product to anyone.
You will not be regret buying it. Pros: Back lighting that you can change on the fly Everything but the kitchen sink with buttons Touch panel controls for easy adjustment Disables the windows key! Cons: The cyborg key software takes an advanced degree to figure out initially, the manual is marginally helpful with this too. The audio jacks on the keyboard add a tinny sound to your voice if you use a analog headset.
Overall Review: This keyboard does everything except order takeout and the build quality speaks to Saitek's legacy for making amazing peripherals. Right up there with Logitech in my book.
